Hot-melt adhesive for bookbinding. For difficult substrates
Definitions
- Hot MeltAdhesive which is applied at hot temperatures and sets up while cooling
- Open timeTime between the moment the adhesive was applied and the moment it has no more tack (end of possible laying the covering)
Uses
THERMORESOL R 170 - 100% hot-melt bookbinding adhesive used for magazines, catalogues and paperback sewing.
Specially adapted for MÜLLER MARTINI & SHERIDAN machines, also suitable for other machines.

Properties
Physical:
- Form / Colour: pellets / cream
- Viscosity Brookfield at +175°C: approx. 3 900 mPa.s
- Softening point (Ring and ball): approx. +83°C
- Open time: approx. 25 sec (Olinger 06-666 method) at 175°C
- Setting time: approx. 1.5 sec (Olinger 06-667 method) at 175°C
Shelf life:
1 year at least in its original closed packaging and kept away from moisture and heat.
