Definitions
Hot MeltAdhesive which is applied at hot temperatures and sets up while cooling
Open timeTime between the moment the adhesive was applied and the moment it has no more tack (end of possible laying the covering)
TackAdhesive power to maintain together 2 materials. Tacky surface means sticky surface.

Uses

THERMOGRIP F 96 is a 100 % hot-melt adhesive for hot product packaging applications (+70°C) and case / carton / box sealing. Suitable for high-speed packaging lines.

Thermosel Viscosity– spindle 21, 20 rpm at 170°C: 1200 – 2200 mPas
Softening point, Ring & Ball: approx. 113-119°C
Open time*: approx. 1 s
Setting time*: approx. 1 to 5 seconds

* Open and setting times are tested according to Bostik internal method. Open and setting times may vary depending on:

ambient temperature, temperature of the substrate, adhesive application temperature
coverage
nature and porosity of the substrate

Shelf life:

2 years in original unopened packaging, stored at ambient temperature. Keep away from humidity.

Application

Application temperature: 160–180°C.
Application by nozzle or wheel (never exceed 180°C).
