Definitions
Hot MeltAdhesive which is applied at hot temperatures and sets up while cooling
ImperviousCharacterisitc of a subfloor which porosity is very low. Adhesion on such substrates is usually more difficult and requires more attention and preparation.
Open timeTime between the moment the adhesive was applied and the moment it has no more tack (end of possible laying the covering)

Uses

TEF 309 is a 100% hot-melt freezer grade packaging adhesive for case / carton sealing applications. Suitable for standard boxes or non absorbent cardboard. Suitable for low-speed packaging lines.

* Open and setting times are tested according to Bostik internal method. Open and setting times may vary depending on:

ambient temperature, temperature of the substrate
adhesive application temperature
coverage
nature and porosity of the substrate

Shelf life:

2 years in original unopened packaging, stored at ambient temperature. Keep away from humidity.

Application

Application temperature: 160–180°C.
Application by nozzle or wheel (never exceed 180°C).
