Definitions
Hot MeltAdhesive which is applied at hot temperatures and sets up while cooling
Open timeTime between the moment the adhesive was applied and the moment it has no more tack (end of possible laying the covering)
Rigid packagingThis range covers various applications related to packaging materials, in particular case sealing (= carton closing), folding box sealing (eg : cereal packs), tray forming (= erecting tray) + many speficif applications (eg straw on bricks...). The product choice will depend upon application conditons (product temperature, line speed, line open time...)
TackAdhesive power to maintain together 2 materials. Tacky surface means sticky surface.

Uses

TEF 272 is a 100 % solid hot-melt adhesive for tray forming (fruit and vegetable trays), lid/cover bonding to trays, standard case /caron / folidng box sealing applications. Suitable for high-speed packaging lines. TEF 272 is a best seller for rigid packaging applications.

* Open and setting times are tested according to Bostik internal method. Open and setting times may vary depending on: ambient temperature, temperature of the substrate, adhesive application temperature; coverage; nature and porosity of the substrate.

Shelf life:

2 years in original unopened packaging, stored at ambient temperature. Keep away from humidity.

Application

Application temperature: 160–180°C.
Application by nozzle or wheel (never exceed 180°C).
