QUELYD SUPER CONTACT is a liquid contact adhesive suitable for bonding the following substrates* to themselves and to each other:
- Leather and imitation: clothes, shoes, luggage
- Wood and laminates: fabrication and repairing of furniture, especially kitchen or bathroom elements, shelves.
- Rubber: floor tiles and stair nosings, car waterproofing joints
- Rigid plastic: dashboard fittings, floor coverings, electrical sheaths and skirting boards.
- Metal: installing/envelopping sheet steel, door linings, fixing door and window frames elements.
- Earthenware, ceramics, China without food contact.
* not suitable for expanded or extruded polystyrene, polyethylene or polypropylene.
For delicate bonding and perfect finish results we recommend to use Quelyd Super Contact Perfect or Quelyd Universelle. For expanded or extruded polystyrene use Quelyd Mastifix Ultra.
Physical:
- Composition: polychloroprene rubber, additives, fillers.
Shelf life:
Up to 2 years in cool and dry place. Frost-resistant down to -20°C.
Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and degreased.
1. Apply thin coat of adhesive on both materials to be bonded. Wait for 10 minutes. Before assembly adhesive should be touch dry and no more transfer to your finger.
2. Bring together materials and press firmly over entire surface. Take care to position materials accurately, because setting is immediate. No clamping is required.
- Waiting time before assembly varies with temperature: 10 minutes at +20°C, 20 minutes at +15°C, 5 minutes at +25°C.
CAUTION: Take care to position materials to be assembled accurately, because setting is immediate, further adjustment is not possible.
- Minimum application temperature, temperature of adhesive and substrate: +10°C.
- Clean fresh stains with acetone.
