Saniplas PA

Saniplas PA is suitable for plastic pipe cement assemblies for pressure and discharge lines as well as underground communication lines.    
Suitable for unplastified PVC.
Suitable for drinking water lines.

Physical:

- Colour : translucent
- Specific gravity : approx 0.90 g/cm3 at 20°C
- Viscosity (Brookfield) : 3 000 - 6 000 mPa.s (Spindle 6 - 100 rpm at 20°C)
- Application temperature : +5°C to +35°C
- Open time : Max 1.5 minutes at 20°C
- Dry content : approx 21% 
- Drying time : 1 hour for discharge lines ; 24 hours for pressure lines ; 24 hours for drinking water lines

Consumption:

Typical consumtion : 1 Kg of Saniplas PA to assemble 100 units 40 mm diameter

Safety:

IMPORTANT: before embarking on any work involving our Saniplas PA, the separate Product Safety Data Sheet must be studied carefully by those carrying out the work.

        

Shelf life:

2 years in a cool ventilated place (max +35°C)

PREPARATION :
Pipe assemblies must be properly prepared :
- Sand down the surface of the parts to be assembled (male end and socket) with sandpaper (never used a file, rasp or sawblade for this purpose)
- Clean the parts to be assembled with a clean cloth or brush moistened with our SOLVANT N°1

GLUING :
Carefully spread a thin uniform layer of Saniplas PA without excess inside the socket and on the complete outer surface of the male end, ending in the lengthwise direction.
When application of the glue is finished, be careful to put down the brush in a clean place.
Since the adhesive dries rapidly, immediately assemble the two parts by pushing them together straight, without any twisting motion.
Eliminate the excess of glue from the outside of the assembly with a clean cloth.
It is necessary in all cases to allow the assembly to dry for 10 minutes before handling to prevent any relative movement between the assembled parts.
Wait minimum for 30 minutes before placing the pipe assembly underground.
Those durations are respectively increased to 10-20 minutes and 30-60 minutes if the application temperature is less than +10°C.

REMARKS :
- To prevent excessive volativle solvent evaporation, always tightly close the can or drum between uses.
- Prevent any ingress of water (rainwater or other).
- After drying, a waterproofing test should be carried out (DTU 60.1)
