Uses

QUELYD PVA RAPID is an all-purpose fast setting PVA wood adhesive suitable for bonding and lamination of all types of wood (softwood, hardwood, exotic wood) and derivatives: plywood, particle boards, fibreboards, HPL, wood veneer.
Also suitable for bonding paper, cardboard, tissue, etc...

Properties

150-200 g/m²

Shelf life:

Up to 3 years stored in dry and cool place. Keep away from frost.

Application

Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from dust.

Apply a thin coat of adhesive to one of the surfaces. Assemble parts within 5 minutes after application while adhesive is still wet.

Press assembly for approx. 5 minutes, the best result is obtained by using clamps.

Maximum bond strength is obtained after 2 hours.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Hardwood and MDF panels: apply adhesive on the both surfaces to be bonded and double clamp time.
At temperature below +20°C clamp time should be longer. For example, at +10°C clamp assembly for 30 minutes.
Bonding in wet conditions (e.g. furniture for bathrooms, kitchen) or for exterior use: we recommend our QUELYD PVA EXTRA adhesive.
Avoid prolonged contact of adhesive with metal (risk of rust formation).
Minimum application temperature: +10°C.
Full cure: after 8-12 hours at +20°C.

Cleaning
Wet spillages can be cleaned with hot water. Dry splashes can be cleaned with hot water mixed with white vinegar.
