PARKETT ACRYLAT

Acrylic Gap Sealant and Filler for parquet

Uses

PARKETT ACRYLAT is a one-part water-based acrylic sealant and filler suitable for filling gaps and hollow spots in unfinished or factory-prefinished parquet.
It is also can be used for sealing window and door frames.

Properties

Physical:

  • Adhesive type: water-based acrylic adhesive
  • Specific gravity (NT T76.300): approx 1.6 g/cm3
  • Hardness, Shore A: approx. 60
  • Skin forming time: approx. 15 min at +23°C and relative humidity of  50%
  • Cure time: 3 to 5 hours depending on ambient conditions and joint thickness
  • Full cure: after 18 to 24 hours depending on ambient conditions and joint thickness
  • Application temperature : between +5°C and +40°C.
  • Temperature resistance: +20° to + 70°C
 

Consumption:

Depending on the depths and the width of the joint, i.e. about one cartridge for 3 m of 10 mm bead

Safety:

 

IMPORTANT: before embarking on any work involving  PARKETT ACRYLAT the separate Product Safety Data Sheet must be studied carefully by those carrying out the work.
Observe good hygiene in use. Avoid skin and eye contact.

Shelf life:

Up to 12 months in the original unopened container stored between +10°C and +30°C. Frost-sensitive.

Application

Cut off the plastic top above the screw thread. Screw on the nozzle and apply adhesive in a continuous bead into crack or gap using a caulking gun.
In case of a very deep gap/joint place a backer rod into the seam bottom to reduce consumption. Smooth the filler with a wet finger.
A waiting time of 3 to 5 hours should be allowed before varnishing.
 
Cleaning
Water or damp cloth when still wet.
