MASTIFX MS 107

A universal SMP-based product, solvent- and isocyanate-free.
Can be used for sealing and glueing together a very large number of materials, forming a permanently elastic bond.

Bonding:

• Flexible bonding of components that withstands vibrations and shocks.
• Bonding roof tiles, skirting boards and interior décor.
• Bonding gutters and downpipes.

Sealing:

• Expansion joints, division joints on concrete slabs, balconies, etc.
• Draughtproofing and waterproofing masonry, partitions, wooden and metal door and window frames, boats, caravans, bodywork.
• Sealing conservatories and greenhouses.

• Solvent and isocyanate free.
• Very good weather and UV resistance.
• Does not corrode metals.
• Excellent adherence even on damp surfaces (not saturated or running with water).
• Returns to its original state after compression or traction.
• Compatible with most paints.
• Can be overpainted after complete curing.
• MS 107 adheres without primer to sound, dust-free, degreased surfaces with all loose flaky areas removed such as: concrete, metals including zinc, PVC, ceramics, glass epoxy, polyester and varnished wood.
• Packaging in Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Romanian.

Physical:

• Skin formation time: about 15 minutes
• Dust proof time: 50 minutes
• Reticulation rate: 3 mm per 24 hours
• Shore hardness A: 55
• Elongation at rupture: > 200%
• Working temperature: from -10°C to +35°C, but preferably between +5°C and +35°C
• Operating temperature: from –40°C to +100°C – maximum 30 minutes at +180°C
• Colours: white (grey, brown and black on request)
  

Consumption:

About 5.7 linear metres per cartridge for a seal of 10 x 5 mm cross-section or about 10 linear metres of 5 mm diameter bead

Shelf life:

At least 18 months in the unopened original container, stored in a frost-free place at between +5°C and +30°C.

Sealing
MS 107 is applied by extrusion using a mastic gun, into the bottom of the joint if necessary (reduce the depth of the joint to 2/3 of its width). After extrusion, firm and smooth the thread of mastic within 10 minutes using a spatula soaked in soapy water. Prevent any water from penetrating between the mastic and the contact surfaces, to maintain good adherence.

Bonding
After extruding in lines onto one surface, assemble immediately taking care to thoroughly crush the lines of glue. Do not adjust the assembly and do not put it under any stress in the next 12 hours.
 
Cleaning
Fresh splashes can be removed by scraping or if necessary with methylethylketone (butanone) or trichloroethylene. Dried splashes can only be removed by scraping.
