Application

PREPARATION

Pour contents of QUELYD DISSOUCOL bottle into a clean bucket.
Observe the following mixing ratio: 1 volume of wallpaper remover for 40 volumes of water. In case of light wallpapers over dilute 1 volume of QUELYD DISSOUCOL in 56 volumes of water, OR :
- a 250 ml bottle of QUELYD DISSOUCOL for 10 to 14 litres of water
- a 500 ml bottle of QUELYD DISSOUCOL for 20  to 28 litres of water, and so on.

Mix the solution – it is ready to use.
QUELYD DISSOUCOL can be mixed with warm water (up to +40°C), making it even quicker and more efficient in use.

APPLICATION

Protect skirting boards and water sensitive floor coverings with a plastic sheet.

Thoroughly wet the surface of the wallpaper using a brush or roller, starting from the top. Allow a wetting period of several minutes.  Wet again if necessary.  Remove the wallpaper using a putty knife or wide blade scraper.

Washable and plastified wallpapers should be first scored with a scoring brush or sanded with coarse sandpaper to enhance penetration of the solution.

Peel off the impervious top layer of vinyl wallcoverings, which is easily peelable.

The top layer of paper-backed wallcoverings can be easily peeled off.

When stripping is complete, remove as much adhesive residues as possible.

HINT:  Make up a mixture of QUELYD DISSOUCOL and starch-based wallpaper adhesive.
Mixture preparation: dilute 250 ml of wallpaper remover in 10 to 14 litres of water. Sprinkle 1 pack of starch adhesive (300 g) into the mixture. The mixture looks like a gel and can be easily applied over the old wallpaper.

ADVANTAGE of this method: paste stays on vertical surface and do not slip down to the floor; makes job easier. Water evaporation is slowed down by water retention capacity of the adhesive. Thus, the mixture remains active for 2 to 3 hours. It must be given time to work to soften and break down the paste, the stripping process will then be considerably easier. Several layers of wallpaper can be removed in a single operation.

QUELYD wallpaper remover can be used with wallpaper steam machine to increase efficiency.

REMARKS
