Hot MeltAdhesive which is applied at hot temperatures and sets up while cooling

Uses

ARDAL T.7441 is APAO-based hot-melt adhesive for edgebanding and soft forming applications. Suitable for all types of edges.

Benefits

High heat resistance: 100–130°C
Suitable on slow speed machines for soft forming: from 5 to 30 m/min
Coating speed for straight edgebanding: from 5 to 80 m/min
Excellent initial cohesion

Properties

Physical:

- Application temperature: 190-200°C
- Aspect: prills
- Colour: natural
- Viscosity Thermosel at 200°C: approx. 90 000 mPa.s
- Softening point, R&B: approx. 145°C

Shelf life:

2 years in original unopened packaging, stored at ambient temperature. Keep away from humidity.

Application

The panels and the edges should be kept at ambient temperature (which should not be below +15°C); wood moisture content should not exceed 10% in order to achieve good bonding results.

Coating weight (depending on panel quality): 150-200 g/m² for soft forming.

Coating weight (depending on panel quality): 150-350 g/m² for straight edgebanding.
