Definitions
Open timeTime between the moment the adhesive was applied and the moment it has no more tack (end of possible laying the covering)
PrimerLiquid or paste applied onto a substrate to obtain optimum bonding. It helps regulate the porosity of the substrate (reduce absorption, therefore adhesive usage), increase adhesion to non porous surfaces, improves application properties of later on applied adhesive
Tiling

Uses

ARDAFLEX G is a tiling adhesive designed for installing small and large-format tiles on interior and exterior floors.
Allows application of low porosity tiles on new and old subfloors.
Allows application on difficult subfloors: floors with underfloor heating system, old tiles, premises subject to heavy traffic and loads (U4P4-U4P4S classification).
High yield on new and old subfloors without primer.

Benefits

Allows one side application for tiles up to 3600 cm².
Suitable for low porosity tiles, large and very large-fomat tiles made of natural stones (marble, granite, limestone).
Suitable for premises with heavy traffic

Properties

PRECAUTIONS
- Working temperature: + 5°C to + 30°C.
- Do not use under rain, during frost or on substrates exposed to direct sunlight or wind.
- By hot and dry weather, moisten the substrates 1 to 2 hours before tiling.

Consumption:

4 to 8.5 kg/m² according to application type and tile size.

Safety:

IMPORTANT: before embarking on any work involving ARDAFLEX G the separate Product Safety Data Sheet must be studied carefully by those carrying out the work. Observe good hygiene in use. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Shelf life:

Up to 1 year in unopened original packaging, stored in a dry and temperate location

Application

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

As a general rule and in compliance with professional rules, substrates must be even, clean, dry and free of grease and alkaline laitance. If it is necessary to use self-levelling compounds in located areas, use ARDAFLEX G up to 10mm layer.

For porous or friable substrates, apply ADRAPRIM R or ARDAPREN NF primer.

(1) For natural stones the tile size is limited to 2000 cm².
(2) Apply ARDAPRIM R or ARDAPREN NF primer. (3) Apply EPONAL PRIMEPOX primer.
(4) Apply EPONAL PRIMABOIS primer.
Not suitablle for metal and polyester, use ARDAL EPOCOLOR. For electrical radiant floors, use ARDAFLEX HPS.
Interior floors: inclined surfaces >= 1cm/m. Exterior floors: inclined surfaces >= 1.5cm/m (not subject to rising damp).

APPLICATION

Mixing ratio: 5 to 5.5 litres of clean water for 25 Kg. Observe a maturing time of 2-3 minutes.
Use a notched trowel to spread and adjust the thickness of the adhesive on the substrate, working no more than 1 to 2 m² at a time.
Position the tiles on adhesive within specified open time and press / tap or roll over them to ensure a perfect transfer.
Residues of ARDAFLEX G should be removed from the tiles with damp sponge during application.
Allow the adhesive to set completely (at least 24 hours) before grouting.
