IMPORTANT Before embarking on any work involving Idenden Bitumen Cold Store Adhesive 10-37, the separate Safety Data Sheet should be carefully studied by those carrying out the work.
At least 12 months from date of manufacture when stored unopened in a cool, dry place within the temperature range +5ºC to +40ºC and out of direct sunlight. PROTECT FROM FROST.
1. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, mould and any loose materials; masonry must be free from mould release contamination.
2. A) PERMEABLE INSULANTS
Apply to one surface only at a rate of 0.6 – 0.8 square metres per litre and immediately press insulation firmly into place.
B) IMPERMEABLE INSULANTS
Apply to both surfaces at a rate of 0.3 – 0.4 square metres per litre (each surface) and leave to dry for about 20 minutes depending upon ambient conditions. Align accurately and press firmly into place. Additional mechanical support may be required on overhead surfaces while the adhesive dries. Protect from rain and frost until the adhesive has dried.
C) VAPOUR BARRIER
Apply two coats by spatula or notched trowel at 1.0 square metre per litre each, allowing a minimum of 6 hours between coats. The second coat should be applied at right angles to the first.
3. Clean application equipment and remove excess adhesive immediately with water.
