IDENDEN 10-253

• Idenden Insulation Hanger Adhesive 10-253 is a high solids synthetic rubber based adhesive primarily used for bonding Idenden Insulation Hangers (see separate data sheet) to a variety of building surfaces.
• It may also be used for bonding a variety of insulation panels (not expanded polystyrene) to faced or unfaced building surfaces.

Safety:

Before embarking on any work involving Idenden Insulation Hanger Adhesive 10-253, the separate Safety Data Sheet should be carefully studied by those carrying out the work.

Shelf life:

At least 12 months from date of manufacture when stored unopened in a cool, dry place within the temperature range +5ºC to +25ºC and out of direct sunlight.

1. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and any loose materials. 

2. A) PERFORATED HANGERS

Apply Idenden Insulation Hanger Adhesive 10-253 to the hanger base and press the hanger into place. The quantity of adhesive applied should be sufficient to cover the entire base of the hanger when in position (circa 1.5 mm thick) and should just seep through the perforations. 

B) DIRECT FIXING OF INSULATION PANELS

Provided that the insulation is compatible with the adhesive (check prior to application) and preferably one surface is porous, then Idenden Insulation Hanger Adhesive 10-253 can be used to fix insulation panels directly to wall surfaces (not soffits). 

In this situation apply the adhesive in a bead around the perimeter and further vertical beads at 500 mm intervals across the panel then offer up to the building surface. 

3.  Clean application equipment and remove excess adhesive immediately with Evo-Stik Cleaner 33.
